Contemporary Medical

Contemporary Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine sterile needles into specific anatomical sites to treat musculoskeletal injuries.

Acupuncture works by activating the natural pain control and healing mechanisms of the body. It improves local circulation and muscle nutrition, restoring muscle strength and decreasing pain. Electro-acupuncture may be used to increase these effects.

Clinical (TCM)

Clinical Acupuncture is based off of TCM using an energetic model as opposed to an anatomical or biochemical model.

Diagnosis detects patterns of imbalance or disharmony between different bodily systems.
